Ariel's Summer of FringeNYC – with New Video Teaser!

Happy Summer all! I'm very proud to have been working on three separate, and very fun projects for the upcoming 2014 New York International Fringe Festival–FringeNYC this summer, as well as taking a wonderful class.

I am Company Managing Brandon Baruch's new play NO HOMO, which swept the Hollywood Fringe awards in June with five awards, including an Encore! Award, Best Playwright, Best Director, Best Ensemble, and Best World Premiere, along with four award nominations, including two for Best Production. Check out the fun trailer of the show below, and go to NO HOMO's website for dates and showtimes! www.nohomoplay.com

I'll also be acting/singing/dancing in Broadway Studio Theatre's show THE IMBIBLE by celebrated mixologist  (and fellow Voices of Gotham Barbershop brother) Anthony Caporale, with direction by Nicole DeMatteiand musical arrangements by yet another fellow VoG brother Josh Ehrlich. Check out THE IMBIBLE site for dates and showtimes! www.imbible.org

Here are some fun publicity shots for the show:

And here is a wonderful little teaser for the show, shot at the Official Press Conference for FringeNYC!

For the last of my FringeNYC projects, I've also been doing the Communication Design for Michael C. O'Day's play DRAGON'S BREATH. Check out their website and all the design work I've been doing for them via his blog post, here: http://www.dragonsbreathplay.com/production-blog/2014/7/21/the-man-behind-the-curtain

And last, but not definitely not least, I've been taking a wonderful PUPPETRY FOR TV & FILM class taught by veteran Sesame Street puppeteers Paul McGinnis and David Fino of Brooklyn Puppet Conspiracy. It has been tremendous fun, and I highly recommend the class – in fact, I'm taking David's Level Two class starting in mid-August. Take a look at their demo reels below!

Have a great rest of summer everyone, and I hope to see you at one of my projects! I've already got a bunch of great projects lined up for the fall, and I can't wait to tell you about them. As always, please check back here for updates!

Best,
Ariel
